MUSIC FOR THE BEAUTIFULLY MESSY PARTS IN LIFE.

STUDIO-BASED AND FRIENDSHIP-FUELED SINCE 2023.

The Deader End is a California-based, studio-driven project built on long-standing friendship and shared creative trust. Formed in 2023, the band brings together Billy Thompson (songwriting, lyrics, guitar), Brandon Morrow (vocals), and Todd Andrew (instrumentation, production, background vocals). Though spread across cities, they stay connected through a process rooted in honesty, volume, and showing up for one another.

At its heart, The Deader End is about how songs are made — and the messages they can carry. Most ideas start small and raw, usually on Billy's acoustic guitar, before being shaped into demos and passed between the band. With Todd’s immersive production, Brandon’s distinctive voice, and Billy’s deeply personal songwriting guiding the process, the songs grow into something louder, fuller, and more intentional.

Releases like “Numb,” “Live Right Now,” “Something Loud,” and the band’s most vulnerable track to date, “Such A Mess,” reflect that approach — songs that sit with discomfort, search for connection, and leave room for hope. Along the way, their music has quietly found listeners who connect with its emotional honesty and melodic pull. While The Deader End began as a studio-focused project, select live performances may be on the horizon in 2026.
